Trestles Beach is accessed from San Clemente, Orange County but is also the northernmost part of San Onofre State Beach and of San Diego County. This beach is also know as Uppers, Lowers, and Middles according to the different surf spots. Parking is located near the intersection of South El Camino Real and Cristianitos Road. There is a dirt path here that leads under I-5. There is also a flatter, paved, walkway that begins on the other side of I-5. San Mateo Campground is located near the beach trail parking lot.
